Summer reads!

There’s a flurry of booklists out there helping you find your beach read. I’ve made my own list of books I want to check out during the summer. I have a solid three weeks of beach time that needs quality entertainment so I’ve packed a bunch and I’ll see how far I get! (Thank god for e-books or my suitcase would be seriously overweight!)

I’ve followed Reese Witherspoon’s book club for a while, but I’ve missed the last three books so I’ve added them to my summer list.

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

I also noted that Sarah Jessica Parker has teamed up with ALA (American Library Assosiation) and made a book club and I’ve added the very first pick to my summer reading list.

Also, Oprah announced another book Club Pick right before the summer that I added to my reading pile! img_7120
And a whole bunch that has come recommended, as gifts or by curiosity and has lived in my TBR pile and has made it into “try and read these during the summer” – pile.

Notes from a small island by Bill Bryson

(Because, come on, when is the perfect time for reading a travel memoir if not during summer travelling? And I was just in London myself and I felt draw to this one!)

The goldfinch by Donna Tartt

(I adored “The secret history” and how it was written, which is why I dare to take on the challenge of this brick! I also just found out that there is a movie in the works for this one!)

I’m starting with The Goldfinch which is undoubtedly the thickest of them all at over 800 pages and take it from there. I migh also add some along the way… I have a tendency to change my mind. So if you have any must reads, let me know!

Happy summer reading!
