I’ve read Tana French with a passion, even though I didn’t particularly enjoy the first book, the second one hit me in the exact right spot and it just kept going from there!

I picked up her latest “The Trespasser” (Dublin murder squad #6) and realized I hadn’t read “The secret place” (Dublin murder squad #5), so I started up that one first as a little side read.

If you haven’t read anything, I don’t know how to advice you. Since I didn’t like the first one that much, I’d skip straight to the second one. But I know many people who absolutely adores the first one, so it’s impossible to say. All I can say for sure is that she as a way of presenting you with an onion and then gently peeling the layers one by one. On the suspects, on the detectives and on the story.

The books are a series, but they also work as stand alone books. The only issue is that you are introduced to the main character in the previous books. That would pretty much be the only reason to read them in order. So if you haven’t read any of her books before, you can also just get the latest.
