“Lily and the Octopus by Steven Rowley”
“This is a story about that special someone: the one you trust, the one you can’t live without. For Ted Flask, that someone special is his aging companion Lily, who happens to be a dog.”
I like lists and while perusing the goodreads Best Books of 2016 choice awards, I found Lily and the octopus by Steven Rowley as a semifinalist in both the “best ficiton” and “debut author” categories.
I picked out a number of books from these lists that I am adding to my “to be read” pile, but I’m starting with Lily and the octopus.
I don’t know why this one jumped out at me, maybe it was the title, or the colors of the cover. Do you have a way of picking out books? Do you judge a book by it’s cover? Do you follow recommendations from people you know or book blogs?
For me there’s no way of knowing, it’s like love and chemistry, it just is.
